Curated by Richard Meaghan and David Hancock the exhibition will bring together a number of artists from around the country who use the landscape as a theme in their work. The aim is to show the diversity of language used by contemporary artists from the painterly to the conceptual.
In representing the landscape the artists have chosen to extract the beauty in both the natural and urban environment. These works are characterised by the sublime; the dark compulsions of the contemporary psyche form a significant presence in their works. Surrounding themselves in a field of white noise, each artist contrives an overview, escaping into the beauty of the application of their chosen medium.
